Brian Chabot

Brian Chabot was born on August 5, 1968, and raised in North Reading, Massachusetts. When he was about 5 years old his grandfather died. As he lay down to sleep terror gripped his tiny heart with the realization that his father would one day die also and even worse that one day he himself would also perish. He began to cry incessantly, and his father came in to try and console him. "God has it all under control" his father said. He asked well how did God come to be and there was no sufficient answer to quell the alarms going off in boy's mind. His mind went down a rabbit hole of a hopeless lack of assurance.
He was raised in a Catholic Church but didn't like going to church. As soon as he was confirmed by the wishes of his parents he walked away from the church. He started smoking marijuana at age 12 before he was confirmed, and he was running fast down the road to destruction. Twenty-three years later he was smoking cocaine day and night. He tried all the programs, but they never kept.
All the money was gone, and his life was in shambles. He said, "I'm going to try to look for God and see if he really cares" The search was on as he separated himself from everything, he
thought to be ungodly. God started to bring his people around Brian and share the Good News, but he was blind.
He wanted to believe so badly but had no faith. As he was driving down the road Charles Stanley was preaching on the radio and he said, "Jesus is your life preserver, you’re drowning in sin, all you have to do is grab the life preserver."
Well, he reached out and grabbed Jesus and he has been reaching for him ever since. He found the love of a good Christian woman in the church and was married on August 6,2004. He became an ordained elder in the Free Methodist Church in 2021 and planted a church in 2023 with his wife Ruth. He's been known to throw a piece of brimstone into the pews from time to time, but he always calls on God's tender mercies to heal the wounds.
Fire Power
Fire Power exists to glorify God and enjoy him forever. Our goal is to spur one another on toward love and good deeds by expounding on God's holy scriptures and being filled with the joy of our Master. Knowledge comes through the experiences, skills and talents God has endowed us with to navigate life. Wisdom is the accumulation of knowledge that has been applied to glorify God. We want to inspire the brethren to be wise by working as hard as they can, in love, before they meet their Creator face to face. Then they will hear those glorious words "Well done my good and faithful servant." Spiritual disciplines are emphasized to train our bodies to obey God's Spirit. Through prayer and thanksgiving, with God's increase, we know the work we are doing together is part of a massive shift in all realms. Glory be to God, forever and ever, Amen
